    The rule of 25 assumes a 4% withdrawl rate which may or may not be acheivable. Because we don't know what future returns will be.

    For monthly income multiply by 300 = 25 x 12 months

    Ive always believed in the KISS method. Out of all the calculators around I always felt the 25X rule was about as easy and safe as you can get

      I find estimating retirement expenses hard. No kids = less expenses. Downsize house, etc. Just stuff like that i have no idea what to plan for.
