we are getting $86 from federal and &280 from state. The first time since 2002 that we haven't had to pay in.
Betweeen selling the house my DW had with her ex, to the DW being selp employed, it took a while to get it all balanced out.

    FINALLY...thank god..

Haven't done my taxes yet but I typically get a small (<$500) refund back. I'm ok with that. Kinda' Feels like a mini windfall and wouldn't add up to much if it was spread throughout the year.

I estimated my taxes at the end of 2012 and I will owe around $500 in federal taxes. I have no clue on state, so hopefully I don't owe there too!

This year I overpaid the state $1,039 and underpaid federal $370. My state refund is already "spent" (1k to traditional IRA, $39 to CurveBall savings account), and my electronic payment to the IRS is set up to happen 4/15.

I do prefer a small refund to a small tax bill, so this year's outcome was fine with me.

We're getting back $1300, down from about $2300 last year. But that's because we were blessed to get a good bump in income this year. Next year we'll have baby #2 and mortgage interest deductions, so it could be a nice a mount. Unless they close that loop hole.

We owe about $750 with our state refund. I would like to get it less but that is better than in previous years.
