I got offers from both sides yesterday afternoon. I took the day off today and asked for the weekend to think about it. Feels good to have some hard work finally starting to pay off!

Exciting stuff... remember the importance of asking for things up front! A friend reminded me of this before I moved to a new company, and I asked for a bigger starting bonus and extra week of vacation and got them both!

Final update. I accepted the offer from my boss. Really couldnt have worked out better to be able to keep the job I love and get the raise. Pretty over the moon right now.
