Here is the process I recommend:

1. Buy things.
2. Acquire points.
3. Repeat steps 1-2 many times.
4. Once you have 25,000 points, go to rewards link from your account.
5. Choose the link called Redeem Now.
6. Choose the link called Cash Back.
7. Choose the link called Statement Credit.
8. Choose the option for $250/25,000 points.
9. Confirm your choice.
10. Receive $250 credit on your statement equivalent to 2% back on all your purchases.
