Dude, my dog would buy a hell of a lot of bacon. She comes out of the woodwork when she smells it!

Next time we go to the pet store I am going to use the card and have her sign the receipt with an ink pad and paw print.

Just don't let her "roll over" her interest from month to month.

If you typed that right, your dog should be famous; the oldest dog recorded lived to 29 years & 5 months of age. Wow!

Her canine age is about 4, which makes her human age around 28. Some of you guys are reading it backwards...

1 dog year ~ 7 human years, so her 4 "dog years" are equivalent to 28 "human years."

Wow and I thought it was insane that credit card companys send credit apps to my 13 year old daughter.

This is one of the funniest posts I've ever read. Thanks for the laughs. May your dog prosper and live a long life.

I know you asked a serious question but this was so funny, it made me laugh out loud!
I'm tempted to tell you to accept one of the credit cards, if the comapny is willing to give a card to a dog that is their own fault, but Im pretty sure that constitutes fraud.

You were the ideal credit card customer. Young, low income, minimal savings, zero experience with credit... All ready and primed to become trapped for life in a vicious cycle of debt. It's why so many college students are racked in debt--they're given higher credit lines than they should reasonably be given, then go nuts because they have the plastic.

I was in about the same spot at 18, and was approved for $2500, which over the last 4 years has increased to $9k on just the one card. Unfortunately for them, I don't play credit games... oh well.

I know plenty of students who racked up credit card debt when they had absolutely no reason to do so. When I asked why they applied for the card in the first place, they generally tell me something along the lines of "I got a free t-shirt for filling out the application."

Be careful - while intended as a joke. . .what you may have done is perpetrated the act of credit card fraud.

I just found out that a friend of mine has $13k in debt already.... he's like... 19yo, a sophomore in college. Racked it up on all kinds of random stuff. He knows it's a problem but doesn't bother/want to really deal with it! I just don't know what to do or tell him! It's crazy to me that people would do something like that, then not even try to fix it!

A cousin of mine is the same way... he just doesn't care how it will reflect on him. He has an unknown and probably large amount of credit card debt, and routinely pays his utility bills late or not at all. It's not that he can't afford it--he has a job and has money to do it--he just doesn't care. It's ridiculous. He just had to go to court for not paying rent for several months. He had the money, just kept forgetting to send it in and they gave him so many chances to catch up. Of course now he owes an inflated amount due to fees and court costs... I don't know if he's paid that! I've tried to talk sense into him but it's like yelling down an empty hallway. I think some people just have to fall hard and get hurt to learn. I've given up talking sense into my cousin.
