Am I being greedy? We're not getting our full $1500 (2adults,1child) because we have a high tax credit. It is high because we received our adoption credit this year. I feel like we are being penalized when the adoption credit is suppose to help with expenses. The adoption expenses were way more than the credit.

I guess I should be happy that we're getting something. I plan on putting my daughter's $300 in her college fund. But, I am going to follow directions and spend my $300! I don't know what my husband is going to do with his share.

I received mine last Friday via Direct Deposit...and it went to paying Credit Cards, Savings and a Flip Video Camera for myself as a early Birthday Present to myself (May 12th)

Ours arrived today. See my blog for details. I've got a question about how it was figured.

            Mine arrived today, too.

It was $886, for myself and one dependent child.

Hooray! Major home repairs, here I come.

We got ours. Funds were allocated towards bills and paying off debt! (and the new tires on our car)

Got ours today as promised. I'm on my way out but I'll transfer it to our Roths tomorrow.

I also did not get the full, when I visit the website it says basic $600 plus one child $300.
**I get this note on the website**
Your Stimulus payment was reduced based on your 2007 qualifying income, or it was limited to the amount of your 2007 Net Income Tax Liability.
Guess the fact we bought our home this year, so we itemized bit us in the bottom.

I was expecting to receive mine by the 9th, but got nothing as of yet. On my 1040, it lists my anticipated refund as $600. I paid my $100 owed via electronic payment. What gives? The tracking thing cannot find any info for me?

Do you have to do anything special to receive the stimulus? I paid taxes this year but ended up owing taxes.

I think that this is kind of a joke. We have not got ours yet but I will post what we get. But what I don't get is this. This is supposed to be a stimulus check to help boost the economy. But it isn't based upon what I am reading, it looks like they are just cutting out what you paid in taxes. if it was what they said it would be the full amount for everyone equally. I checked the site and it just says no info available. I am scheduled according to the website for the 16th.

I got mine and was disappointed to see I only got $300 for myself and $300 for my daughter. I had a nice tax return this year because I was part time last year and still head of household. I did not understand what they meant by "income tax liability". Basically, if you paid taxes in 2007, you get it back. I barely paid any (if any) so therefore Im not getting the full rebate. I am still happy with the $600! I put it straight into my ING acct. I now have 2K saved and no debt! Go me!

Well, I went to the site and it tells me that we are only getting $600. Total. This is the reason: Your Stimulus payment was reduced based on your 2007 qualifying income, or it was limited to the amount of your 2007 Net Income Tax Liability. Since we don't get to claim the kids except as dependents part time we don't get them. So we get $600 total for both of us. $300 each.

Was supposed to receive mine by the 9th, still have nothing. Filed on time, paid via direct deposit, meet all qualifications, and have an SSN putting me in the second deposit group. Online "tracker" has no information. I sense I'll get nothing, and the process required to actually get anything will be long, complicated, and labor intensive.
