I find this headline to be extremely misleading. For one, every state that is listed is in the south, many of which are already known for being generally poor areas. Secondly, a lot of retirees do go to these states to retire because it's warm so wouldn't that affect the data for the seniors living below poverty as well as the life expectancy since more people would be dieing there? I also don't think a life expectancy in the mid 70s is anything to scoff at! Aren't most states somewhere around that number? Just curious what others thought about the data.
