      Her net worth doesn't include any savings in retirement accounts. Nor does it include her $1 million in home equity for her townhouse in Greenwich.

      And she's a single woman with a defined pension worth $2.5 million.

      I doubt she has to be savings as much on $180k.

        its my understanding that she has no other retirement savings and her net worth includes her home equity

        yes she got a job that does not require worry about retirement or being wise with her finances

          whats on sotomayor's questionaire(p. 167-168):
          Assets:
          31,985 - Cash
          997,500 - personal residence (Greenwich condo)
          20,000 - 1/3 interest in condominium
          108,918 - Auto and other personal property
          ----------------
          1,158,403 - total

          Liabilities:
          5,752 - Accounts and bills due
          381,775 - personal residence mortgage
          15,823 - credit cards bills
          15,000 - dental bill
          ----------------
          418,350 - total

          740,053 - net worth

          of course she has a government pension, but she doesn't have to disclose that to the government. also supreme court life tenures really help out for late life income...keep working until you die.

            I'm sure she'll be fine in her post work life but looking at her debt's makes me wonder about her reasoning ability. Kind of a sorry looking financial picture for someone in such a position of responsibility.
