Here are things that blow your budget:
BUYING from GREEDY PEOPLE
People who think just because they've lived in a house for two years and done nothing to it that they should walk away with $100,000. But the problem is that everyone is greedy now. The world is obsessed with people making money off of other people (like the million house flippers). Isn't it the American way to get as much money as possible from your fellow American? I mean, the world would fall apart if we say "You know what, I'm not going to take advantage of someone just because I can. It doesn't matter what the ever-powerful OMNIBUS market says I should get, I'm going to sell it at a lower price because I don't want to cause a hardship for them."
Somehow "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" became "find people that are on the down and out and make money off of their plight"
When I sold my 1998 Honda Accord for $2500, I knew that I could have asked for more or waited for another buyer, but I also knew that a family was in desperate need of a car. Had I taken them for as much as I knew I could, I couldn't sleep at night
Enough soap box for tonight. But think about it. This country revolves around e-bay, house flipping, and other people that make a ton of money from other's plights (think divorce attorneys). What if we went back to the old fashioned way of life where caring about others was more important than getting rich?
