I don't know if this feature is new but I just discovered it so figured I would share. For all I know it's been there for years and I just never noticed.
When you log into your account, it shows the "balance overview" screen which lists each of your accounts and what they're worth. The 2nd tab is "recent activity". The 3rd tab is "performance summary". I just clicked on that for the first time. It pulls up a graph showing the 10-year return of your Vanguard portfolio. There's a drop down menu to also get the 5, 3, 1-year, and YTD data.
My 10-year return is 8.6% which isn't too shabby, especially since that includes the 2008 recession. The 5-year figure is considerably better at 14.2% since the recession drops out of that calculation.
Again, this might not be new. I just think it's a neat feature to get a big-picture look at how we're doing at least with the Vanguard portion of our holdings.
