  • Capital One $1,000. bonus offer!

Here you go, the best savings/CD account deal going on right now. Invest $100,000. in a 3% Capital One Savings account for 90 days and get a $1,000. bonus, plus the $750. interest! I did this a year or so back and it was a great deal at the time. You can also invest less then $100k and simply get a lower bonus amount. I only wish I hadn't just dropped money into that Ally $500. bonus deal last month!

    thank you for sharing!

bummer tho... I already have one of these accounts open. (But thank you for reminding me to pay attention to this one again. 3% apy is nothing to shake a stick at!)

Couldn't think of a worse way to tie up $100k for a miniscule $2k interest. Well, there are worse things to do with $100k I suppose.

That's the equivalent of a 7% APR for 3 months. I don't think that's too shabby. Not as high as the recent I bond interest but a lot easier to deal with and a much shorter holding period. If you've got something that will pay a guaranteed 7% for 3 months let us know.

Agree, 7% interest for 90 days and completely risk free is a pretty good deal for most people. Lot's of people like myself who have already hit their goal of savings for retirement find this simply too easy to pass up.

You can churn credit cards and make more than this with no money tied up. I know people don't believe it or against it for whatever reason but it's better than locking up $100k for 3 months.

Nothing wrong with that either. There's plenty of ways to make a buck. The credit card deals are good too if you qualify. Don't those usually require you to spend a certain amount in a certain time period to get the bonus, though? Like 100K reward points if you spend 5K in the first 3 months or something like that?

I don't get a finders fee? I love these cash bonds offers, unfortunately most of the banks that offer them only allow a one time bonus offer within a certain period of time, even if you open a second account with new money. Always on the lookout for new one's though.
