Checking Account Bonus Offers

I just tried it and it told me We apologize, but we currently do not offer accounts in your area.

Consider yourself lucky you got this error message. I went through then entire application process only to find out that this deal is only good for people that received a direct mailing reservation code. The code referenced on the deal websites is just a promo code and it is worthless without a reservation code.

I did an online chat and was told that I am not entitled to the promo unless I personally received an offer in the mail. Total waste of my time.

My experience above is an example of why I favor posting and discussing offers in this thread as opposed to just sharing links to sites that compile lists.

This post is not intended to criticize anyone that have shared such links, as I also bumped the thread with one recently. But those links are pointless if they are not providing important information that might exclude you from an offer.

The site I posted didn't reference anything about needing another code for the Keybank offer. The Hustler Blog added an Editor's Note that states the offer "may only apply" to those who received the offer in the mail. Umm, there is no "may only" about it and their note should state as such.

Completely irritated at the moment.
