I may have been able to do it sooner but I didnt want to risk getting nailed with a $25 penalty for not having enough money in the account.
I had a similar experience w/ Chase and Huntington banks. They wanted you to keep the account open for some time (6 or 9 months I think). But you received the $250 reward after like 30 days. I kept the deposits in one until maturity. But if I recall... At the Huntington bank, all I had to do was pay like a $20 fee to close the account. So I only received $230, still a win in my book.

I'm going though one of these now with Capitol one. I had to open a checking, and I already had a brokerage and high interest saving. I believe the offer was for $250, but I already forgot off the top of my head. ( I usually done bite if its under 200).

Great post, and I'm in Michigan and looking for a new account for my wife and I to share.

Great to see other slickdealer's here I love that site and honestly check it probably 2x times a day.

I check in 2x ever 15 minutes, lol...only when im at work and on a computer non stop. When a really good deal is posted sometimes you have minutes to snag it before its dead or out of stock.

Just received in the mail: Chase bank is giving $500 for opening accounts.
Not as good as Bank of the West deal of $2500 plus monthly free trades.

How many millions do you need to have on deposit for the Bank of West deal?

Also, any specifics on the Chase offer? According to the site cooliemae posted, the top Chase deal is currently $350.

My wife did the chase one earlier in the year...it required a $50k deposit for $500. I thought that was expired. My guess its a targeted mailer offer.

Of course without specifics posted, the information really isn't useful. The site cooliemae posted actually pays people who provide them with information on bonus offers that they don't already have posted. So I would be shocked if the offer is still good if it is open to the anyone.

Another website that puts together a list of current bonus offers.

Find out how you can get cash bonuses through the best bank promotions for setting up new checking & savings accounts, and CDs.

Perhaps you didn't see the reply asking for details of this offer?

One of the better offers ive seen recently. $400 bonus. Direct deposit $500 in first 60 days. I cant participate as my state isnt on the list...lame!
I was looking at this offer again, and don't see anything on the actual KeyBank website limiting the deal to select states.

                                That sucks.

I wonder if the person that posted the deal on SD tried zip codes to come up with the list of states.
