I am so pissed. Merrill Lynch charged me $50 to move my account from them to chase with the new refi i am going through. Is this common? I hated them before and I hate them even more now.

* There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going. -
I dislike these fees as well. I’ve read that sometimes you can get the gaining brokerage to cover the expense of moving the funds. (But, I’ve never actually done this myself).
