why not buy a broad ETF index for bonds and stocks and rebalance every year and pick a more aggressive mix than 2/3 and 1/3 with stable jobs?

Personally I think you should think tax strategy wise and put ETF stocks into the taxable and bonds/bond funds in retirement accounts because i hear it throws a lot of taxable dividends. So it's a better tax planning strategy. That's what we did.

I think it's more important to look big picture pie right now and allocate based on entire portfolio tax efficiently than to look at pieces. You are doing great so make it better for you tailored individually.

      Update:

My Hyundai continue to leak steering fluids after taking to the shop 3 times already, spending a total $650 so far. This car worth KBB $967.00 with 193k mileage it will need new tires too another extra cost $590.00. We need 3rd car that is very reliable.

So we did today was buy a new car. Cheap under 19k 2016 Sentra SV.

That's still gives us $51k to invest.

LAL--I'm considering adding VTSAX to this mix after I sell Netflix stocks at the end of the year. This will give another 10k of investment to split between All three funds I listed here next year.

I'm glad you're following my car buying advice. Use the other $50 grand as a solid down payment on a Range Rover Autobiography.

Unless they can give me at least 32+ mpg, high reliability, and under 18K price range, no thanks!
