      I use 7% pre-tax based on some data I saw somewhere at some point. My real winning or losing calculations are done with a monte carlo simulator called the flexible retirement planner. Similar to firecalc. It takes thousands of scenarios and determines how many times my plan will fail.

      For 97guns, I would like to learn more about your investing. With my tax advantaged fully funded each year and all other funds full up, I have been looking at options for my taxable investments. We talked about a vacation home, and I have looked at venture capital investments, but nothing has piqued my interest just yet. Maybe you could start another thread and give us details.
