  • Anybody Got A Viewpoint on CSX?

Just took a very limited position in CSX on Thursday.

My thinking is pretty much to buy and hold, railroads are an old and profitable business model, so the stock should be fine for a couple of decades.

Anybody else owning it? Do you have an opinion about the company?

    I dunno.

The 1 yr target price is $73.95. Does that mean the analysts don’t expect the stock price to really move?

    good dividends?

performance chasing at this point even if you will buy/hold?

oh yeah I own BNSF because of Berkshire Hathaway

Warren Buffet would have liked you. He took a big stake in CSX back in like 2015 I think.

It is at an all-time high and barely 1% dividend, so I wouldn't. A small starting stake wouldn't hurt, but I personally would wait for a pull back if I had my heart set on the stock.

I believe that is when he sold his stake in CSX.

Railroad stocks have had a good run in the past year, but I don't know if you're going to see much appreciation going forward.
