  • Anyone gonna buy this dip?

No fundamental reason for a serious correction that I can see so I might do some value buying.

I am doing well today with SDS calls up 48%

Overall, I keep a decent percentage of my investments in cash so I can buy at any time, while always keeping a large portion long all the time.

With CAT down over 10% from its high I am becoming interested there. (impacted by slowdown of some BRIC countries)

The recent ECYT volatility and the fact that the stock is trading close to cash value has had me buying long under $7.00 and also making a good return on short term options trades off the volatility.

I love volatility as I tend to significantly beat the market averages when things get bumpy.

With interest rate increases coming I feel the markets 8 year run is about to take a hit, but that is just my opinion.

These things never happen right at the beginning of the month when I'm moving money to brokerage accounts.

I'm going to keep on doing what I always do. No changes no matter what the market does. I'm not a timer. I'm an investor.

Just doing the same...dollar cost averaging money into our Roth IRAs each month. We don't need the money for another 25 years.

I keep some cash laying around in our IRA's and it's built up to the point where I would like to invest it. So I am going to take this opportunity to invest it in a nice equity fund.

I added $550 to my roth ira yesterday. Only have $500 more to go for the year. Other than that same old.

                +1

I don't have any spare cash to buy anything, as I'm fully invested all the time.

I have a few positions that have been beaten down. It might be a good time to add to them. I'm definitely keeping my eye on things.

I doubled the amount of PHK I own this morning when it pulled back on the Bill Gross news.

I have owned the fund for 2.5 years and love it's 1% per month dividend.

Hey! Did you hear about the Endocyte ECYT news at the European oncology conference? nearly 50% OS in subset NSCLC for their weaker drug Vintafolide.

I am in for 4000 shares at $7 so it would be exciting to see $9 or so on Monday. I am going to hold this one for awhile though because a cancer cure from EC1456 would make this a $90 stock.

I hadn't heard that yet, thanks for sharing.

I am long 2000 shares between my Roth IRA and my trading account, and like you mentioned, I plan to hold those shares for awhile as I like the long term prospects. As of now, i dont have any ECYT calls to take advantage of any leap on Monday.

Bought MWE today at 65.00 as i like the long term growth prospects and the 5% dividend. If it falls another 10% ($58.50) I will double down.

Good buy and 5% is great.

Quite the roller coaster today. Was ready to buy when it dropped 400 points but was driving all day so missed the bottom.
