  • NFCU $50.00 bonus for new members

I've been waiting for a new promotion at Navy ever since I qualified to join a month ago, and here it is. Just have to open a checking or savings, and they give you 50.
Can't find what you need? Please type a search query and we'll try to help.

Not the greatest bonus, but really the value here is in NFCU. I've been on financial boards for years, and everyone is always singing about how they are one of the best CU's in so many ways. They treat their customers right, and offer generous credit lines even to people building their credit. Treat them right and they will be a financial institution you can depend on. If you have a way to qualify for membership, I totally recommend them.

I am very excited to be a brand new member!

In some cities, they are also giving a $50 referral fee to the one who refers you.

Thanks for the heads up. We have been with USAA for years, but might be willing to join for the cash!

NFCU is a great CU. Been with them since 1984. Although I have switched most of my banking to USAA now because USAA has a much better online banking setup. And USAA refunds all ATM fees up to $15 / month / account. That's nice because there are no NFCU branches within 500 miles of my house.

I did just refinance 2 car loans with NFCU because they offered $250 / refinance. I am planning to pay them off in March, so that was a nice $500 pickup at no cost.

I've had USAA for years, and like them, but Navy seems to be really good with credit limits, and their customer service can't be beat.
