  • Growth Investment

Most of my investments are for Growth. I"m thinking about doing my new one on more of a modest side. I'm trying not to place all my eggs in one basket as the old saying goes.

I know it's my choice but I will like feed back.

    Thanks

I think you should have a reasonable asset allocation plan. Then, when you add new money, you simply follow your plan.

By "growth", do you mean stocks with high P/E ratios? By "modest side", do you mean you are considering stocks with low P/E ratios?

If that is what you mean, then yes, IMO it makes a great deal of sense to own both.

If that is not what you mean, will you please clarify?

I agree you need to determine an appropriate asset allocation plan that is right for you. Depending upon your risk profile, aggressive investments may be appropriate however I personally would not want to have all investments there.

For anyone to give you usable feedback, one would need to know your age and your investment goals (at a minimum). The smart thing to do for a 20-something with just a few thousands of dollars in the bank is quite different from what would be the smart thing to do for a 50-something with half-a-million in retirement accounts.
