Traditional IRA Rollover to 401k

I hope i'm getting the details right, but a little over 6 years ago I rolled over a 401k from my previous job into a traditional IRA with sharebuilder because I had another account there. I asked my employer if I could roll over my traditional IRA into my 401k (when I became eligible to participate) at my present job and was basically told no. I forget the exact reason why, would anyone know the answer to this? Thanks.

Some plans allow incoming rollovers, some do not. Apparently, yours does not.
