  • ING Direct - Are you staying with them?

So with the sale of ING Direct to Capital One in late 2011/ early 2012 how many are going to stay with the popular online bank?

I have a checking and several saving accounts with them and will be re-evaluating my position with them. Not a fan of Capital One

I am really not sure if I will stay with them or not, but I am definitely thinking about it. I have never had trouble with Capitol One and if it were Chase or Citi I would leave for sure. The appeal for me has always been the easiness of the user interface. If they changed that I'd be out of there. Also if they cut the interest rate I'd be shopping around for something better. Right now I'm just going to wait it out until closer to the sale time. A lot can happen in six months.

Pretty sure I'll be looking for a new bank...which I'm a disappointed about.

I'm planning to stay, also because of the easy interface and multiple free sub-accounts. I've never had any experiences with Capital One. Out of curiosity, what are the reasons for their bad reputation?

I will stay until Capital One gives me a reason to leave or more likely someone else offers me something better (ALLY).

Just so you know, Ally also allows multiple sub-accounts, all viewed on one page, and with a grand total.

I think people dislike Capital One because of their lending practices, not from dissatisfaction with their online savings accounts.

Although I am not a customer, I would wait to see what if any changes before I would leave. Capital One paid awful lot to make changes right off.

No reason to leave until changes occur. Maybe Capital One will take notes from ING's success?
