You might look around for a bank offering higher interest on checking with debit swipes. I currently earn 4.03 up to 15k.

Again, I'm not an expert, but I doubt there is anything online like that right now. I don't know what the rate currently is on CDs, but sometimes they seem to have higher rates and you can go to a real live bank or credit union and take one out.

The only one I know off is the one you use but it won't let me open it via the phone or web, according to the bank representative there. I called and it was only for walk-in service online. That is pretty ridiculous. Of course, Redneck Bank has no other account available.
