Actually Tim Sykes, the king of penny stock shorting, was reporting that he and his buddies couldn't get shares to short (thankfully) at 7-ish, so I doubt you would have been able to get them either.

People that had shares short probably boxed their shorts earlier (i.e. went short, say at 5$ in one account, and simultaneously long 5$ in another account, so they were neutral, then waited until they felt like the top was in and sold their long, making them net short).

What is funny is that people were getting blown out of their short positions as early at 5$... and those that bought at 10$ really got creamed. This is typical of the way most noob traders lose their money. They get slaughtered on these types of plays, left and right. One of my friends dad had 10K$ worth at 3.20, held all the way to 10$ and would have made 20K$ if he had sold like his son told him, but he did not. So he's back to neutral. Easy come, easy go, I guess...

I actually put in an order to buy 40K shares at 3.80 after the first bounce at ~3.75 and it would have filled, but I chickened out and cancelled it. Kinda annoying b/c I would have made 100K$ if I had held to 6+. Of course I probably would have sold at 5, so whatever.

The big mistake I made was not playing pin-action like other lithium penny stocks. I saw LTUM at the close when it hit ~1.00$ but I did not want to risk it there. Of course, those who bought in at 1.70 something got slaughtered as well, when it dropped to 65 cents.

Anyway. Now I'm waiting for a silver super-spike to go short via ZSL.

SVNT did break out, unfortunately, I sold too early, for +3K$.

I thought about buying a tiny bit on friday at $5.70 just because it was swinging around so much...now it is near $9. Very bouncy stock right now.

With all this short term trading, I thought this basic article might be appropriate. I especially like #1 and #6. You can't measure what you don't track.

I thought about buying a tiny bit on friday at $5.70 just because it was swinging around so much...now it is near $9. Very bouncy stock right now.

Hehe, yeah, I can't believe it either... I saw that and was like... "DAYUM!!!"
Can't believe I didn't going into ZSL when silver took that gap down on OBL getting killed... Oh well.

And today GENE was halted. It looks like some big pharma is looking to make a buyout offer.

Damn. I wish I had gotten in at $5...could be a 4 bagger easy.
