ok I transfered money from ING to my checking account...it shows pending in my checking account....can I go ahead and transfer money from checking to ED or should I wait until it's actually in the account? I think it takes one or 2 days to go from pending to actually have the actual money in the account..and it takes 1 day to transfer money from checking to ED....what should I do any suggestions? thanks

Neither HSBC nor ED let you know your daily interest. They only post at the end of the month. Too bad; it's a really nice feature apparently provided only by ING.

Maybe the expense of maintaining that feature is the reason ING no longer offers competitive rates.

For anyone interested, I initiated a manual transfer to my ED account yesterday. The amount was credited to my account today, so I'm assuming that it's earning interest even though it won't clear my checking account until tomorrow.

I really wish HSBC was as timely.

okaythen, i got the same privacy notification notice. It's nothing important; just some form they are required to send. I deleted it.

Too bad I didn't find this site sooner... Anyway I had signed up on an ING referal link a few years back and then found the Emigrant folks with a higher rate and moved everything over there. ING has thus closed me out. I thought ING had gotten enough business that they closed out there signup and referal bonus program. I guess not; I wonder if they'd give me another signup bonus? :

FYI -- ING is going up to 4.15%. Still not very impressive. But those who are die-hard ING fans should be happy.

I am - but still not happy enough - the really is shabby - i thought they would at least match 4.5

I guess ING got the message about 4.0 but 4.15 isn't going to stop the flow of money outof people's accounts into other on-line banks. Hopefully after May 10th, they will join the others who are offering competitive rates. Too bad because I really like ING.

May not seem impresive to some of you, but is to me. In my town, our banks pay around 3%, one even pays under 2%. Thats why I use ING.

Hey I'm not disappointed at all!

And when I close my E.D. account tomorrow, I know I'll be much happier!

After having to have to change my password some 8 times now (no lie) just to access my account, I can appreciate even more the *SERVICE* ING provides.

It's disappointing that ING won't at least match the higher yields that some of their larger competitors offer.
