Yeah, that bug where it displays as a debit first and then switches to a credit a day later is a bit disturbing to me. But I think that's just a glitch in how the details are displayed -- the overall balance shows the correct amount. I guess I'll have to see when I get my first statement when exactly my deposits were applied.

How are they on withdrawals. Do they show up as a credit?

I expect E-loan is one of those banks that pays interest based on your monthly anniversary.

Yeah, that must be the case. It shows my interest earned at the bottom of the statement, but that interest hasn't been fed back into the balance yet.

My account hasn't quite been open a month so we'll see if they apply the interest on my monthiversary.

I noticed the same thing. It seems weird that the statement cycle would differ from the cycle they use to credit the interest to the account as the amounts reflected would never be in sync. My account will have been open a month either today or within the next couple of days.

For what it's worth, and according to my transaction history, I opened my account on Oct 2nd, and the interest was credited on Oct 27th. I don't know why that is, but I'm just glad I got paid.

                  Re: E-loan savings

My account was credited last night for interest earned. The amount of the credit was greater than what is reflected in my month end statement.

Ka-Ching is right. At least we got paid. And the number was bigger than what other banks would have given.

Maybe everyone will begin withdrawing their funds prompting E-Loan to raise their rates.
