    Also if you shop regularly you learn the codes.
    Green pepper 4065
    zucchini 4067
    Roma tomato 4087
    lettuce 4061
    bananas 4011
    etc

      Is it universal codes or specific to a store. I looks similar to my codes but I have not memorized it. Did you a 4 prefix is load with pesticides and grown conventionally, which is similar to the codes I buy 4xxx. A 9xxx prefix is organic. Non-GMO is a 5 prefix (I think), etc.

        PLU codes are universal. 4065 is a green pepper everywhere.

          Good to know, I should start memorizing those codes and can self-checkout and be out of the store faster instead of standing in the long lines waiting for a live person. My previous post contained a lot of grammatical errors due to posting while at work trying to multitask.
