Is there a reason for the spike? Supply issue?
    Steve

    * Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
    * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
    * There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

There's lots of good reading on both cocoa and coffee and the uncertain future of being able to maintain supply because of changing climate.

A world without chocolate or coffee? Might as well be hell.
        History will judge the complicit.

With chocolate's parabolic move it set off the light bulb in my head that commodities may be a jackpot investment vs stocks which are at all-time highs. Today I bought some of the ETF in natural gas ticker symbol UNG. I'm eyeing next some of the ETF in oil, ticker OIL. With all the craziness going on worldwide commodities may my play. I already missed the cocoa boat and don't want to miss the next parabolic move in the next rocket ship.

Sure, because market timing is always a great investment strategy.

It's more that I'm just waiting for the crash, then I'll get more stocks on sale. Slim pickings currently with everything at all-time highs.

That only matters to market timers. If you invest regularly and consistently over time, the daily gyrations are of no significance. Wasn’t the Dow up over 400 just a couple of days ago?

Not sure but I like 1000 or more drops and high volatility days where money can be made fast or lost equally as fast. The slow run of the mill sideways movements takes too long. I like the fast money.
