For people with adult children what did you once your kids became adults with cell phones and streaming services? Did you split them off? Did they pay and share with you? Just curious.

Our daughter still lives with us so that's an important factor. She has been on our family cell plan since she got a phone at age 11. She'll probably stay on it as long as we have it. My mom is on it too and my late cousin was as well.
Streaming is a mixed bag. We (my wife and I) pay for a few things (Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime) that our daughter uses. But she pays for a couple of things (Paramount+, Max) that we use, so it balances out somewhat.Steve
* Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
* Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
* There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

Our own kids aren't old enough yet ... But for ourselves, we've done both. For a long time, I was always on my own. Eventually, we ended up on a shared phone plan with my brothers. We do share a couple streaming services among us & siblings, but we mostly just handle it ourselves. DW, by contrast, has pretty much always been on shared family plans with her family (or now my brothers).
We have Disney+/Hulu, Paramount+, and Amazon Prime ourselves. Our TV is setup to share a SIL's Netflix account, and another SIL's Peacock account... but we rarely use those.
