    Why not take your trash to the local dump and dispose of it yourself? I don't pay someone to pick up my trash. I drive it in once a month, 2 bags of trash, the 39 gallon size. Costs $3/bag...$6/month.

      We put out two 30-gal trash bags and one 13-gal bag weekly. Plus we mostly fill the recycling bin.

      I don't even know if hauling your own is a thing here. I've never heard of anyone doing it. But for what we pay, I'm quite happy to have someone pick it up at the curb. I don't want to be carrying bags of trash and bins of recyclables somewhere in my car every week.

        I have no idea. I pay my water bill and on there is trash service. I don't think I have a choice, it's through the city...
