    All the time.

I have many little hobbies that are expensive. From graphic cards, board games, to high end collectibles for the man cave, I probably spend 500-1000/month on nonsense.

I also sell a lot of things I end up buying or replacing. Everything I acquire has a value and there's always a market for a used video card, cell phone, rare collectibles, etc... In my eyes, it's a transferring from paper money into things that can later yield me most of my money back or more.

In comparing from the last 7 months to know, my initial response would be "too much". While I saved for everything and paid upfront, I put 12,500 into my kitchen remodel. Put another 1000 into my home theater ( 4 speakers and 1 amp for Dolby Atmos) just after the holidays. And just bought the parts for building my AR-15 (1200 from my annual bonus just received).

Before doing all that, I already maxed out my Roth IRA for this year. And I'm about to drop another 14K into my mortgage to get to PMI dropped (saving myself another 170 per month instead of waiting another 36 months).

Going forward for spending this year, it will be focused on any home repairs that come up, and traveling funds.
"I'd buy that for a dollar!"
