How much did you spend for Valentine's Day?

DH and I bought our daughter a $9.99 box of chocolates.

Personally not a fan of the holiday.

    Zero.

    We don't celebrate Valentines' Day.

    * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?

Sent $5 each to two of my nieces. Had the cards and stamps.
Made homemade cards for my daughters.
Bought 5 roses at the commissary on Sunday for $5.99.
My husband and I skipped the card buying for the second year in a row.

          Total $15.99.

            $0.00

A delivery guy dropped off flowers and a vase for someone in our office today. All I could think of was "what a waste of $30."

              $50, Shari's Berries.
Saw so many of those commercials, thought I'd order some.

I spent about 15 dollars on baked goods for the family at the bakery next to work. I have to disagree with flowers being a waste, since I got a big raise I have added fresh flowers once a week to my grocery shopping list. I spend not more than $10 a week and it so brightens up my kitchen on a dreary winter morning.

Zero on each other. Married 28 yrs so no need to

Bought a few treats for an acquaintance who is coming to stay for?? a week or so maybe.

America's tallest dam (in Oroville, Ca) is overflowing and the detour for the water has a huge hole

                  200K people evacuated so far

I don't think he/she was referring to $10 fresh flowers as being a waste. More so the overpriced flowers people buy for a commercial holiday.

My DH bought these for me one year. Absolutely delicious but I just don't like the idea of him spending that type of money.

This! The price of flowers, especially roses, spikes sky high for Valentine's Day. The same dozen roses that might be $20 the rest of the year is suddenly $50. Or you get $5 worth of flowers in a dollar store vase and they charge you $50 for it.

If you want to go to a good florist and buy some fresh cut flowers and go home and put them in your own vase, that's entirely different.

Shari is a wonderful lady. I remember when she first started the Company Shari's Berries

She doesn't own it anymore and got really screwed by the new owner, she told me

                          I forgot the story

She is very honest and trusting

I'm also in the $0 club. Helped my four year old make a card for my wife.

                              $0

We don't give each other gifts, we each have an entertainment budget to spend on whatever we want for ourselves.
