You are 100% right on this. I used to check back after reporting violations and it was very rare to see that action was taken. Very frustrating.Originally posted by ~bs View PostI used to report counterfeits and obviously fraudster accounts coming from china, but ebay generally takes no action on them until someone gets ripped off and complains. I've checked many times after reporting them, ebay lets the auctions complete. So I stopped caring.
If ebay was smart, they'd have a "power reporting" system. If a user has a history of reporting a very high % of fraudster listings, those users should be taken seriously, and those items investigated immediately. Or at the very least, the listing temporarily halted while ebay investigates.

You are trying to report one if his items right? I went through the report item sequence, and it does look like it'll let me report him. I don;'t want to report one of his items for no reason though.

No. I didn't want to report an item. That method of reporting does seem to work just fine. What I was trying to do is report him specifically by using the report a violation option. Like yourself, if eBay looks at any of his auctions they aren't going to see any violations. It is is main page where he is crossing the line. Sadly none of those options allow you to enter text to explain that it is not a particular item but his main page.Originally posted by ~bs View PostYou are trying to report one if his items right? building codes and zoning effect everyone who lives in the municipalityOriginally posted by 97guns View Post
I really can't stand people who butt their noses into something they have no business with like my brothers neighbor.... my brother put up a large garage for his boat and his neighbor threatened to report him to the city because he didn't get a permit, my brother had to tell him that the man cave without permit and full of code violations that he loves so much will be ripped down also if code enforcement comes knocking.Gunga galunga...gunga -- gunga galunga.
