  • Meal Prep Service

I've got a coworker who in the past had mentioned ordering frozen food from Schwan's. I looked into it briefly but wasn't much interested at the time. A couple of months ago, the topic came up again, but this time he mentioned a local service, Ideal Meals. I think they are only local to the NW Georgia area. I know there are a few other nation wide services such as Blue Apron.

Anyhow I signed up, and 5 weeks later I am still going back.

Entrees are $7 each, and a different menu every week. Portions are what I would consider small, but are in fact a lot closer to what I should be eating. It is cheaper than eating out in the evenings. I am saving a few pennies and loosing a little weight.

Has any one else had good or bad experiences with similar services?

It's cheaper than eating out. I personally tried blue apron from costco and found it wasn't worth it. My kids didn't like the food. It's a date night thing, but I'd rather go out to eat than do that. I have friends who are both WFH and make crazy amounts of money so they are doing that for lunches and dinners. Cheaper than eating out they say so they like it.
