I didn't think of this right away, but I eventually created columns for the different products I typically enter so I could keep the codes separate. When they announced earlier this month a double points day for Powerade and triple points day for Diet Coke, I was able to maximize the bonus points for those weeks.

150 points the week they had a Powerade bonus and 225 points the week they had the Diet Coke bonus.
I checked out the catalog Maybe only inputting points on days which are special... like double pointsor triple points days for specific items is the way to go? It says you must redeem points within 90 days of accrual? You cannot just let the points sit? There are usually a ton of coke items, cans and such placed at the apt complex where I am stationed to work twice a week. I could also keep the cans, they even mash them and set out for someone to take but everyone ignores it.

I can only see us using the ITUNES card. I suspect they'd want my real name and address for the Itunes though you can buy cards at brick and morter stores and your name is guest. At least until you add it to your own store. Maybe I can give it as part of our sons birthday or xmas stocking. I buy songs once in a while too. Otherwise we are trying to go as anonymous as possible so anything that requires me to give my true personal info, I generally avoid

Your spreadsheet is ingenious! Maybe you'd do better selling it on FIVER/EBAY for $5 a piece versus messing with the coke points yourself

That's not correct. Points expire after 90 days of no activity on your account. As long as you enter at least one code every 90 days, you retain all of your points.

Honestly, up until a couple of months ago I considered this a bit of a chore. I was entering the codes from home and it wasn't much of a priority. I am not sure how many promotions they do per year, but I suspect a regular drinker would amass a lot more codes than they would be able to use during the promotions.

The promotions appear to be used to promote particular brands. This last one as announced a couple weeks in advance. Not sure how effective it is from a marketing perspective. Personally, if I see an upcoming bonus for Powerade I am not going to start drinking it just to get the points. I just happen to be fortunate that I get a variety of codes from others that will allow me to take advantage if/when a promotion pops up.

I am trying to keep an even amount of codes per product that is consumed within the family, but I don't think I would avoid maxing out a particular week in hope that a promotion will be announce in the near future. Who knows, perhaps I will put some thought into that. 75 points is the limit per week, so that is 25 caps from the bottles. Maybe I will keep 25 each just in case.

Sounds like a plan! I only find cans or 12 pack cardboard coke containers w/ the cans inside. It would be nice not to pay for those ITUNES gift cards at Xmas

The codes on the cardboard box are worth 10 points. No points on individual cans.

Ok nice to know. I will just use a blade to cut the points off then.

I don't want to discourage you, but if you see an opened 12 pack there is a good chance the code is already removed. The code is on part of the box that is removed for easy access to the cans. Not sure if the boxes have the perforation on both ends or not.

Steve should know the answer to this one?

They do not. Its only on one end.

MCR has gone downhill with point redemption. They used to occasionally offer coupons for free 12 pack for 30 points...I havent seen that pop up in almost a year....and when it does its a limit of 1 or 2 per address. When it was unlimited I once got around 30.

I dont even drink the sugar water but people give me the coke points and I hook them up with those free 12 pack coupons when they come around. I sometimes redeem for a shutterfly coupon if one isnt floating around on the internets.

I just read an e-mail that they sent out on Monday regarding another bonus offer. It requires you to link your store loyalty card to the MCR website, and the bonus is for "small pack" products. Runs from 10/24 through 11/23.

                      7.5 oz mini-can, 6pk, all varieties, 10 point
                      7.5 oz mini-can, 8pk, all varieties, 16 points
                      7.5 oz mini-can, 10pk, all varieties, 20 points
8.5 oz aluminum bottle, all varieties, 6 points
8 oz 6pk glass bottle, all varieties, 8 points

I don't typically buy any of the above and I don't recall ever seeing any good sales on them. More than likely I can get double the product for the same price, but something to keep my eye on. Not going to pay $2.50 for a 6 pack of 8 ounce bottles to get bonus points when I usually pay that for the same number of 16.9 oz bottles.

Just reading the e-mail now. Triple points on Fanta today, 10/31/16. Not something I drink or receive codes for though.

Thank you Dave. I am gonna get on the bandwagon for this... hopefully soon. The sole commercial building which acts as a store/restaurant/bar/church (where we bought property) is saving the cola cardboard boxes (12 packs) for me. And the towns mailman... whom we know well....says he will deliver any mail to us though we don't live there. We don't need a PO BOX, he'll just drop it off at the store. We could even use various fake names and addresses as long as they matched close enough. So we could have various accounts. Seems like it might be worth it I might get the mailman in on it too. He contracts out with the post office and makes very little money, he's quite poor. Only works 2 hrs a day.

                          .
