That's awesome, Nika! I know that area though haven't been there recently. Sounds like a perfect blend of "next to work, next to life" if it's only a 20-minute walk for your DH. Let's just hope for a mild winter.

    * Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
    * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?

Congratulations and best wishes for baby and new role of mother. The apartment sounds like it hit all the points you'd sought. We found the subway system in DC awesome. Hope DH is as pleased as you. Enjoy it all.

What 6 mos are you going to be living there? Winter months? I'd think if then I wouldn't care if there wasn't a lot around because you probably won't be going out much with an infant in the cold weather anyway.

If nicer weather? Then if it were me, ya I want to be where me and the kids could get outside. Good luck with your decision and move.

Better you can prefer apartment in walk able distance. It will save your travelling time from house to work place. Remember that time is more important. Right now I am working at best custom essay writing service and I prefer an apartment in walk able distance.

Congratulations on finding a nice place. It is good that your DH doesn't have to depend on Metro to get to/from work. SAFE Track is still an ongoing project and there will be more single tracking and line shutdowns in the next few months.

Sounds like such a fun 6 month plan and awesome place to live. Have a good time. Tell us what you think about living somewhere other than new york and how it is.

I personally think anything is fun for 6 months.
