Disneysteve thanks for your friend referral I signed up today. Check to see if you received your credit, I believe we'll both get $5 credits for the next 4 months for $20 total each.

        Welcome to Sling.

My next billing date is actually Thursday. I'll have to see if they apply the credit.

My billing cycle starts 10/7, I'm currently on the 3-day free trial. I shall see too if they apply the $5 credit. My bill is showing a total of $56, $50 for the blue & orange combined plan, and $6 for the news package. So my bill should be $51 total. But wait it says the first month half off so should be $25.50. It's complicated but I'm not sweating it. I'm glad I made the switch over to Sling.

Does anyone have Air TV? Sling is promoting a $75 Air TV device ($25 Sling credit) which when connected to an antenna gets local channels? I've already ordered an indoor antenna so I'll wait to try it first to see if I can catch ABC but if it doesn't then I might try the $75 Air TV.

AirTV basically adds ABC to the Sling interface app to avoid having to toggle in and out of the app (not worth $75).

Sling still shows my acct as the free 3-day trial period and hasn't posted my billing details with today being the start of my billing cycle on 10/7. Curious to see if they applied the $5 credit.

$56 - $5 = $51, not sure what happened to the half off 1st month but it's all good.

Spectrum done threw me a curveball. I had signed up for Sling TV $50 for the Blue & Orange package along with adding on the $6 news package intending to cancel my Spectrum TV $39 (10 channel choice) and cancel the Spectrum broadcast TV surcharge $19, but keeping Spectrum's $19 internet. However, when I tried to cancel Spectrum said no can do buddy. They said my internet is a legacy plan which is bundled with the TV services and if I cancel Spectrum's TV services, my internet would be cancelled and I would need to get the current internet at $75 a month. So long story short I have to keep everything in place with Spectrum. Subsequently, I will be cancelling Sling TV in which my last day with Sling TV will be 11/7/22. I hope disneysteve will get another $5 off on your 11/06/22 bill and furthermore continue to get the full $5 off for the 4 months but with me cancelling Sling TV soon it's unlikely it'll continue for you disneysteve but who knows. Let us know if it continues. I really wanted to keep Sling TV which would have had given me a lot more channels than Spectrum's 10 channels but I don't want to lose my $19 a month internet and have to pay $75 a month. Sometimes when I think I have a solid plan it collapses like sandcastle, lol.

Have you tried to shop other internet vendors? Perhaps someone else has other options that you can pick and choose rather than a package like this.

I didn't realize you hadn't checked on that first. When we cut out Comcast TV service, I knew that would spike the price of internet since we'd no longer have the bundle (we also had phone service even though we never used it because it was cheaper that way). We now pay $98.95/month for internet. Even with that, though, our total cost is still less than what we were paying to have TV with Comcast.

Sling did just raise the price by $5/month though.

Yeah sometimes I get too excited and jump the gun, lol. I was enjoying Sling TV watching channels that I don't have such as NFL Network, FX, AMC, Food Network, etc.
