how much is too much for a hotel

I generally booked summer weekend cabins an hour from home near beach past few years until covid. My family has done day trips this summer. Surprisingly I get that I went somewhere fun coming back home is nice breaking the monotony of home feeling after half the day being gone. That being said I like nature.

$200 is my cap. I find it hard to pay less than $150 and $200 seems to be more the cost of places we go. That being said I do usually pay around $300-400/night skiing at a resort. Also disney was pretty pricey. HK and Tokyo Disney were $300+ a night i believe. Those were probably the most i've spent for something I did think about not staying onsite.
