I should have invested everything in 2018 into the stock market and realized the housing market was a few years off before I got serious about investment property. I should have known I was terrified about buying a rental. Now I'm wrapping my head around the possibilities. And where i think it's not at the absolutely peak bubble. Had we been in a different point in the cycle I might have been more secure. But I just felt like when were were ready to buy that it was really high.

Don't be hard on yourself. No one has a crystal ball and I too wish we'd purchased a home back in 2012 when everything was so affordable. I think we'll have an opportunity in housing early next year. Keep an eye on your local real estate and be ready to move fast. Also if you plan to hold on to the home(s) does it really matter when you bought as long as the home(s) was / were affordable and you really liked the home(s) when you bought it / bought them?Originally posted by LivingAlmostLarge View Post
