Windshield got cracked this morning

    we have to pay the deductible for replacement but it doesn't count against our insurance. Would be $1200-1500 for the windshield otherwise. Maybe I'll call around but the sensors make it expensive apparently.

      My parents just used them while they were here visiting us. They got a large crack so entire windshield had to be replaced. Safelite did it in our driveway and the insurance company my parents had referred them to Safelite. I think my parents were just relieved to find a company willing to come out and get it done before they needed to return home. We haven't lived here long enough to had to deal with any local glass companies.

      So to answer your question, people use them because they are referred and for the convenience.
