Have you ever returned something you bought on craigslist? Or had someone ask for a refund for something you sold on craigslist?

Yes to both. The first time, I made the mistake of giving out my cell phone # to some jerk so we could meet. He took the item apart (antique fireplace screen), couldn't put it back together and wanted to return it. He called constantly, so I took it back and changed my phone #. The second time, I told the woman to sell it herself if she didn't want it. She wanted to return a new pair of kids shoes a week after she bought them. This was after she haggled me to death on the price and made me meet her way out of my way.
I had to demand a refund after someone sold me a fake Coach bag after swearing it was real, and the zipper was broke. It didn't match the pictures she showed me. I would have spotted it right away, but my husband picked it up for me on his way home from work, and what does he know about bags. That was quite a lesson learned for me.
I wouldn't refund anything unless I was very wrong about describing it. I'm not TJ Maxx. I'm not taking stuff back anymore and have added "all sales final" to my ads. I make sure everything works before I sell it, so if it doesn't work I know that they broke it. And I am very careful about what I buy now. If I change my mind, I sell it.
