Maybe, from a very, very, very, very high view I understand the outsider prospective he's trying to push. Anything else, I'm not on board with. Can anyone rationally explain how he will help improve our country? I've never been more fearful of a candidate and personally don't know anyone who plans to vote for him and thought this forum may bring out a supporter of his.

Let me jump in first with a reminder/warning. This is NOT a political site. It is fine to have a CIVIL discussion but any posts that include insults of other posters, other candidates, this candidate, etc. will be deleted. No name-calling. No criticizing others who do or don't support a certain candidate. None of that.

    Carry on.

Well lets put it this way...

Bernie cannot be elected since he will probably die in office...hes already 80 years old. Heck he has a good chance of death by old age at his next rally.

Hillary is hillary. No one trusts here, she blatantly breaks the law and it doesnt matter. Shes too deep into the system. Shes too entrenched with special interest groups and corporations.

Cruz will have us writing on stone tablets and worshiping baby jesus. He's ultra conservative. He also looks like grandpa munster so he cant win...look up the meme...its awesome.

Trump...well what can we say. He's obnoxious, loud mouthed, never wrong and has some odd ideas. Unfortunately he's also getting people excited...especially those who can no longer stand the system and are sick of big government. I think a lot of people will be surprised to see how many people come out to vote who have no interest in politics because they like the way Trump is going about politics. He's also going to get a lot of bernie votes after hillary wins the nominee. Politics are a joke...and he's calling it out...people like it. They dont care what his wacky ideas are.

In summary...there are really no good candidates this time. I know a couple die hard republicans who hate cruz and trump...but will ultimately vote for either because its "their" party.

National politics don't affect your life nearly as much as your local city council. Turn off the news and pay attention to what is going on at city hall.

You missed one. Kasich. It could still happen the way he expects. And the country would be so much better for it.

I am still not sure what Trump is trying to do for this country besides kicking out Mexicans and Muslims. Oh right he also want people to beat the crap out of protestors and put them on stretchers.

All I know is that he has a lot of friends, powerful friends..who calls him up all the time and tell him that this country has a lot of problems, and that they agree with him on many issues. He also need to figure out what is going on with all the problems. According to trump, we have a tremendous amount of problems with everything because of China, China, China, immigrants, Muslims and China. When you disagree with Trump, you are just being un-American...and you don't want to make "America great again."

There are no good choices among the front runners. I know very little about Gov. Kasich, other than he appears to be neither a lunatic, an outright crook, a religious zealot, or a Socialist.

So he gets my vote by default?

I'm not nearly as optimistic as CCF is, but I hope she's right.

As far as specifics on Trump, I can't say much that hasn't been said already. He's a master showman, and salesman. He's tapped into an anger felt by a group that has felt marginalized for probably 20 years - less educated white males.

I read an article a week or so ago about how the Trump phenomenon was born the moment that Congress normalized trade with China in 2000. Pres. Clinton signed it into law, and candidate Bush had been campaigning on it. So blame can be spread all around.

Heres a 10 minute video of someone breaking down mental tricks that trump uses. Kind of interesting.

                      awesome video!

I like his Covert POwers of Persuasion more.

It's really hard to fight Donald Trump. If you don't support him then he paints you as an ISIS loving suicide bomber.

Let the businessman run the country and stop the bleeding.

And what did exactly Trump say that will stop jobs from leaving every year? Punch corporations in the face if they ever attempt to reduce their overhead? Or perhaps very important people called him up and told him he can do it? Stop trading with the rest of the world like North Korea?

In a time of peace, no one really needs the U.S to survive. We are not the biggest energy producer in the world and not the biggest food producer in the world. We are good at producing high tech products and weapons...this is why we have a trade deficit because we got nothing else other people want.

And lets just say we have something other countries just can't live without..what are we going to do? Put up embargos, threating companies that if they sell these goods to these countries, they must hire within? How is any of this small government? Are we going to pay workers here 15 dollars/hour with benefits to make Iphones, use our resources, and then sell these Iphones for 1299?
What exactly is his plan? We are going to "win with china" is NOT a plan!

it does affect you greatly if you use Obamacare or are on SS, so pay attention to both and state

Actually, whether you directly get your insurance through the ACA or not, that legislation probably affected you. It affected insurance rates across the board, forced companies to eliminate certain plans they had offered because they didn't comply with the new laws, and probably made it much harder to get an appointment with your family doctor who is now inundated with new patients.
