So I mentioned on another thread that I locked in a refinance last month. In finalizing the refinance, the lender went through 1 final procedure that didn't exist before, a final income check to see if there was job loss due to the pandemic. I have a feeling that if this procedure is widespread, it's going to axe a lot of people's refinances, further increasing their struggles. Both unemployed and on the hook for their original mortgage amounts.
