A familiar question arises which is this: Do retirees have all that they need? At work one day i recalled a customer saying, "I am glad to be retired, but my income is fixed." From hearing this, do retirees have it all or no?
I know this will piss some people off, but as someone that planned for retirement, yes, I have it all plus then some. I think those people complaining didn't plan well and unfortunately now have to live on a limited income.
I still remember when I started out in my early 20's, all the "old" guys warned me about saving for retirement and putting money into our deferred compensation program. For most people, if you don't make the right decision early it's hard to play catch-up.
The average person can comfortably retire if they plan early on, every single one of us has heard this from the start but many of us won't bother putting a coupe of bucks away for it.
