Was contacted several weeks ago by my deceased mothers former electric utility provider that she had some unclaimed $$. She's been dead for seven years and hadn't lived at that location where that utility company operates for probably 15 years.
So I filled out the paperwork proving I was her relative and provided proof of her death. Low and behold, I received a check in the mail yesterday for $1,415.
There are six of us kids, so I sent each of my siblings $235 and told them to have some fun on Mom, one last time.
