  • What's wrong with our fine forum?

    Jeffery/Nate,

The past few days the forum has been acting quirky. Are these issues being addressed?

    Thanks for your continued support.

I think I read that an update was being done. That's why the date of edits are 1969! What quirky things have you been seeing? That might help them look to correct them if they don't already know.

The strange signature. Also, sometimes when replying to posts the screen will go white. I had to leave the webpage and then come back to bring the home page back up.

That's been happening to me too - the white screen thing. I figured it was all part of whatever updates they were doing.

ETA: Ironically, it happened when I submitted this post.

I've also noticed I'm having to log in ever time I visit the site even though I have it set to remember me. Just been happening the last 2 days

            Problems I've noticed:

            Dates on posts are wrong
Sometimes I'll create a new post and I'm sent to a white screen (even though post does go thru)
I can't logout easily. Takes a few tries.

Working on it...look of forums will likely change as we work on it.

I don't like that you can no longer jump between forums by clicking on the forum title on the top. Now you have to go back to the list of forums and select the one you want. Adds an extra step to the process.

Most of the custom plugins we created for the forums we had to delete because they were causing issues with the upgrade. The list of forums on top was one of those custom plugins. it will take some time to rebuild all of those.

Another forum on which I'm very active used vBulletin for years but recently converted over to XenForo. The guy in charge said vBulletin just didn't keep up to date and couldn't accommodate things as well. Their new site is light years better than it used to be. You guys might want to check them out. XenForo is much more full-featured.
