Does anyone know if this is a scam company? Wife has a friend that bought in for $800 for two year membership. Any info that someone here knows would be appreciated.

30 seconds on Google and it doesn't seem to be a scam. Not sure how you make money other than the discounts they offer.

Is Dick Loehr's Team National a legit online business opportunity? This 3rd party review will provide you with all of the information needed to make an educated decision.

Never heard of it but anytime you have to pay a big upfront fee, and I'd say $800 for 2 years is pretty steep, for the promise of saving money, run the other way. There's a big difference between a $60 Costco membership and this.

No it's not a scam. I'm a member because my father bought a membership. Definitely good discounts on insurance. My parents saved on their two car purchases and easily made back the cost of the lifetime membership. It's definitely a bit complicated to explain, but it's legit.

You make money by signing up other people. However that is not required. As I said above there are ways to make back the cost of the membership. Discounts on nearly everything you can think of.

How much is the lifetime membership and what sorts of discounts? This is the first I’ve ever heard of it.

I think skives is right the lifetime is at least $2,200, which is what my father bought, which includes family members such as my husband and I, his parents (if they were living) and our daughters and my sister and her family.

The discounts are varied, and I'm only now starting to look into their insurance over USAA because our new state is expensive even with USAA. But again my parents saved enough on two car purchases to make up the cost of membership, plus they have their auto insurance discount and make other purchases. There are companies you can buy factory direct and get savings that way on appliances, jewelry, flooring, furniture and electronics. They also have a site set up similar to Ebates to get cash back online purchases at the same stores. And they have business savings with the best one being discounts on credit card processing fees. Small business members also can offer their own discounts to other Team National members. It's definitely a growing business designed on the idea of network marketing, group buying power and the idea that much more purchases are going to be made online going forward.

I did just peak at a group I'm in and rarely follow, and people are reporting things such as $1800 savings on home insurance, $2000 on health insurance premiums, another person with a family saved over $7K on health insurance premiums and then smaller discounts reported on appliances with someone saving $260 on washer dryer set over what they would have paid at Best Buy. And some reporting $260 savings on auto insurance. So it all varies and of course depends on your spending habits.

We personally have not yet received much from the discounts because we haven't owned a home since 2015, no appliances or flooring to buy. We did buy furniture once since then but weren't looking to spend a lot, so we just bought local. We've been happy with our auto and renters until we moved late last year, so will look into our options with Team National soon. We aren't buying new cars anytime soon either, and really aren't big spenders. Oh and we have no health insurance to be trying to save on since we get ours through the military. Now when my oldest daughter no longer qualifies, we will definitely check Team National to see what their insurance agents can offer. I think it can be a pretty good deal, particularly for small business owners and people making large purchases of cars, home remodels and insurance. The rest is small discounts that you can likely get elsewhere for free, but if you buy the membership you would want to use TN to purchase through for the smaller items too.

And then there is the business opportunity side which my father is working on...and if it gets big enough, I would actually get a check, but that has not happened yet. I do know he has sold memberships so he's making progress. I think most should only join for the savings, not the business aspect, unless you are really that type of person.
