How fast is your internet and what does it cost?

I pay $34.99 and have a 20 mbps connection but measure 50mbps down and 5 up. It's Time Warner.

I was paying about $67/month for Internet/included phone service (which you HAVE to have) for pretty fast Internet (not sure of speed)

This month it jumped up to $83/month!! I guess it was the end of the promo year period.

This absolutely makes me sick to pay this much since where I lived before I paid less than $40/month for high-speed Internet.

I have called before trying to get the price lowered with no luck. Will be trying again here soon.

well, the tivos aren't right yet, Time Warner comes again tomorrow. But without changing the price I now have Extreme Internet, not to be confused with Turbo internet, or the never works, I can read a book waiting for email internet.

the speed tests come out 37 down 5 up, which should be awesome if they can correct what they are doing wrong with the tivos

TWC, just tested and got 16Mbit down and 1Mbit up. We pay $58/mo, no bundle, and have our own modem SB6141 and other hardware. We're not heavy users, and most of the complaints come due to slow machines as opposed to internet speed.

I think it's no. 3 or 4 in the world (haven't checked the stats in a while), but we clearly have an outstanding internet connection here. I have used my laptop both in the US, Croatia or Spain and absolutely cried my eyes off

Total cost (internet, landline, 2 mobile phone plans and cable): $25.

If we keep only the mobile plans (+data) we're probably gonna get to around 12-13 bucks/month.

Then I'm moving to Romania. TWC came Friday, put in new combo modem/router. We made sure netflix streamed on every tivo. We speed tested on my newish macbook, 34 down, 6 up. Great, I change everyone's devices to the new network.

Slow at times today, one speed test was back to 4 download and 2 upload. Then back to normal. I cannot figure this out, they can't figure it out, we put in a wifi booster. Maybe we need more of those.

I'm checking tomorrow about Fios. I've pretty much had it with TWC. They also mailed me a modem/router today that I never asked for, they never said they were sending and it will cost me $7 to have UPS pick it up (I'm not cleared to drive still) or give yet another chore to the only driver standing and have him take it back. I actually hate the robo-woman who triages the calls at TWC. Supposedly they can monitor how angry a customer is by how they speak to robo-woman, yet they didn't catch my homicidal vibe, hmmm.
