  • Saving on Plastic Surgery

I’ve been wanting to have some work done for a while, but my budget is somewhat limited. Some of my girlfriends have suggested looking for doctors out of the country, but that makes me really nervous. While doing research, I found a news story that my local channel ran about a company that works like priceline, but for plastic surgery. Basically you can set your price and one of their doctors will schedule into an available spot when they have an opening. Thoughts?

    My thoughts...use google

Cosmetic surgery is expensive...you get what you pay for. If it makes you feel better and you have the money I see absolutely no reason why one shouldnt get it done. Its your choice. There are risks with any surgery. Its your call. Good luck.

There is considerable risk in having surgery, any surgery From anesthetist to probability of flesh eating disease infection. You are literally betting your life. Do you feel you want to bargain for price? Going off shore adds to the risk as language barriers adds another obstacle to communications. How do you check the qualifications and litigation of foreign doctors? How do you know if facilities are 'state of the art?' How do you know if the medication used is what it's purported to be?

Because so much plastic surgery isn't covered by insurance, I would think most doctors would take a payment plan of some sort. I'm not big on taking out loans but if it's something important then maybe it's worth it. I think our resident doctor here would know more.
