  • Any Craigslist pros here?

I want to place a listing on Craigslist but I can't seem to find the right category. My practice does CDL physical exams (for commercial drivers - trucks, buses, etc.). We want to advertise that service but in the Services category, there is no medical or healthcare option. I'd really like to put it under the Job section for CDL drivers because I figure it will be seen there but it isn't actually a job listing and there is a $25 fee for that.

    Any suggestions?

    * Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
    * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
    * There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

Well I'm not a pro but I have used CL.
"Skilled Trade" (edit: under SERVICES) category might be the closest match? Choose good key words. Whatever someone needing that specific service might use when doing a search.

Thanks. Yes, I was thinking that might be where it belonged, too.

No offense, just curious... do people really go to CL to look for medical services? I go there for a lot of things including job postings, home services, childcare, etc but would never think to look there for medical.

I honestly don't know but we figured it couldn't hurt to throw a listing on there and see if it generated any traffic. There are a ton of CDL job listings so if someone does a search for "CDL" and could find our listing, that could be helpful even if they weren't actually looking for a place to have their physical done.

That makes sense if you're going to put those key terms in there but in that case, I don't think services is the right place. The way craigslist search works is you only search one area - so you're either searching for sale, community, services or jobs. A search in jobs won't return results in services. Might be worth the $25 to put it in the jobs section but even then, since it isn't a job, you could get flagged for removal.

Agreed. There just isn't a "medical" section under services so I guess "skilled trade" would be the best choice.
